(alphabetical value O)

All of the Runes have an image, or symbol, that sets the train of recollection, ideology, and meaning in motion. This image isn't the 'meaning' of the rune, it is the picture that sparks off of the meaning and gives it form and reality.

The prompt-symbol for Odal is the home place. It is our roots, our past, or where we belong. In order to make sense of the future we must always first make sense of the past. In order to make a 'home', we must first understand what we truly feel as 'home-like'. The process in understanding Odal is one of recognition, not learning. We must acknowledge and accept that a great part of who we are is not only our past, but the pasts before we were born.
