All of the Runes have an image, or symbol, that sets the train of recollection, ideology, and meaning in motion. This image isn't the 'meaning' of the rune, it is the picture that sparks off of the meaning and gives it form and reality.

The prompt-symbol for Nyd is intangible, but real. It is something lacking. This rune warns us that the time for action is not yet come, or that we do not have all of the tools we need for the success of our venture. Some need must be filled before we can advance.
